Job Description

The Opportunity:  

We're seeking a proactive and engaging Accounts Receivable & Payable Team Leader to lead the end-to-end AR & AP functions, while supporting a small, high performing team. This is a hands-on role with real impact, overseeing supplier payments, credit management, reconciliations, reporting and process improvement across a busy FMCG environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, improving ways of working and making a visible contribution.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the end-to-end AP function, overseeing supplier invoice processing, payment accuracy and timely workflow through Redmap & Pronto
  • Manage AR activity, including cash collection, credit applications, customer due diligence, DSO performance and bad debt risk
  • Oversee key employee finance systems and processes, including Concur, employee expense reimbursements, corporate card expenditure and the corporate travel application
  • Lead, support and develop a team of two, ensuring clear priorities and effective workload management
  • Prepare accurate reporting and provide meaningful insights and commentary on receivables, payables and working capital performance
  • Manage key reconciliations, controls and compliance requirements including GRNI reconciliation, audit support, policy adherence and ATO payment time reporting
  • Partner with internal stakeholders across MNA to support customer set-up, payments, holds, suppliers queries and effective use of accounts systems
  • Identify and implement process and system improvements across AR/AP, with a focus on simplifying workflows, strengthening controls and improving productivity across the wider business

Desired Skills and Experience

To Succeed With Us: 

  • At least 4 years’ experience as an AP and/or AR
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a high volume, high performing team, within FMCG environment
  • Strong AP and credit management experience gained in a small to medium FMCG environment with at least 500 suppliers & customers
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Strong work ethic and ability to adapt & change
  • High energy, positivity & engaging personality  
  • Qualification in Business Administration or Finance is desirable
