The Opportunity:  

We’re seeking a commercially astute and insight-led Category Development Manager to lead the development of category and channel strategies for nudie. In this role, you’ll apply deep category, consumer, shopper and business insights to shape growth strategies and drive execution through strong collaboration with Sales, Marketing and key retail partners. You’ll be the go-to category expert, influencing decision-making internally and externally across categories in which nudie currently plays or aspires to play

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic category management programs and growth agendas, embedding strategies internally and with key retail partners.
  • Act as the undisputed category expert, providing insights on category performance, market trends, competitors, and shopper behaviour to inform Sales and Marketing decisions.
  • Drive commercial planning and revenue management, including pricing, promotional modelling and identification of growth opportunities and business risks.
  • Play a key role in the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, ensuring alignment across category, brand and sales to deliver robust forecasts and budgets.
  • Lead range reviews and customer engagement initiatives, ensuring strong cross-functional coordination and compelling customer presentations.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market and activation plans for NPD and major initiatives, tracking performance and recommending actions for continuous improvement.

Desired Skills and Experience

To Succeed With Us: 

You’ll bring a strong mix of commercial acumen, analytical capability, and stakeholder influence, along with:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within an FMCG environment
  • Proven customer-facing experience within Category Development/ Category Management or Account Management
  • Strong experience developing category strategies, commercial plans, and customer engagement initiatives
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
  • A proactive, driven mindset with a collaborative and adaptable approach
  • Experience in a large multi-national or at Category Development Manager level in a medium organisation is highly regarded.
